How to play "Heal Over" by KT Tunstall. Shows you the chords. I heard it for the first time yesterday, so I didn't get much practice in chord transitions to the difficult E chord.

What a star! Watched KT Tunstall video and could find posted chords that matched so thankyou. Great benefit showing chords on screen and naming them

Thanks for this! Wow, I have even more respect for her now. I'm a dude with relatively short fingers so this is really hard for me. It's going to take a lot of practice.
  • Yay! Thanks so much. Didn't know that was your first time hearing it, so thanks for making such an effort! These are great videos. Keep it up!
  • WOW! All honour to you my friend for posting this knowledge so freely and bring so much glee to a guitarists dark times! Here is a link to a tune I also love - can you apply your wondefully clear visual way of explaining how to play those jazz chords featured pls? You will always have a friend in London to look up!

YAY!! is one of my FAVORITE songs, im not a great guitarist, but i think ill have to learn this one! Thanks for posting!! you are a genius!
  • Thx mate! We're gonna use this in a Theater Play witg guitar and harmonica. You were of great help!
  • Great tutorial, very well done, although I would agree with eggymoo that the first chord is not E diminished but is in fact E9 (without a 7th). That chord pattern is rather unconventional and took me a bit of practice to be able finger it quickly. Just goes to show what an innovative little lady Katie is. Love her.

Hey mate, great stuff. Only suggestion is that the alternate chords aren't A then D but actually Cmaj then D. Otherwise bang on.
  • Awesome! For me, Better late then never! The tab I downloaded for this is wrong wrong wrong and it sounds it to. Thanks!
  • @nenevof
    Thaks for the bridge chords!!!
  • @eggymoo
You seem to be playing it right, but it's not E diminished - that would have a flat 3rd (G natural) and a flattened 5th (Bb). The chord is E maj (add9) TAB 096900. Great song all the same...

For the Bm7 and Am7, should the muted strings be A and E, not E and E?
  • @Aonly413
Thank you for sharing this! I'm really enjoying learning it. I have a question though. when playing the C#m7, am I supposed to mute both of the E strings?
  • Just fyi, the 'hard' chord with the stretch isn't a diminished chord, it is a 6th chord so E6 or E add6 would be more correct as a E Dim would sound very dissonant with these notes in the basic triad: E, G, Bb
  • BRILLIANT!!, but that Edim's a killer...me' hand hurts!! (how's KT manage to play it, she's only got little hands!?)
  • My uncle once ran over my fat mate's wife's cousin's frog. aw poor foogy.
