Just over 15k miles in my 2023 Colorado ZR2 with no issues. Excellent on and off-road. I extensively researched all the competition and no regret going with the Colorado.

I'm digging the Ranger even more now!

I've had Mazda, Ford, GM, RAM, and Honda pickups. All different sizes. Two were Ridgelines, an 06 and my current 21 RTLE. Love it. It's not perfect, but it is super versatile. I tow a few thousand pounds with no problem. Roomy. Rides like a dream. Sometimes I think my 84 B2000 was the best of the bunch. I almost kept my 14 RAM 1500 Hemi regular cab, shorted. But it developed the infamous hemi tick even though it was meticulously maintained. Didn't trust the motor so I sold it.
  • Makes sense... most American made truck assembled by American labor with highest amount of American made parts ends up most reliable. 🤷‍♂️
  • @marklihsu
If you don't need to do truck things Ridgeline is it. Makes sense ranger is the best of the midsized.

You’ve got a great sense of humor, Tim. The Ridgeline came out in 06 and mine is still running fine. I did pick up truck things with it and And particularly loved the in bed trunk took it all over the country and had very few minor issues. I’m sure my son-in-law will keep it until the wheels fall off as I gave it to him a few years back.

I owned a 2023 Nissan Armada and the screen kept going dead on it too, bad thing is that’s your cameras and safety features too. It finally died and they replaced a $2500 module, week later it started acting up again. We traded that off for a Suburban. I’ll never own a Nissan again.

I went and drove a Honda Ridgeline. Not enough legroom or headroom for driver or passenger unless you are under 6’ tall. I was going to buy one but after driving decided it was too small for someone 6’3”. . I have more legroom / headroom in the Colorado or Tacoma . Otherwise I really liked the way it drove . A good truck if it fits you and you need a truck just for hauling stuff from big box stores or picking up things around town. Has a car like ride , runs really smooth.

Been driving my 2024 Ranger Lariat FX4 in Azure Gray since early May and can report zero problems. Love it.
  • Back in 22, I looked @ the Colorado, tried to look @ the Ranger (dealer treated me like a homeless illegal alien). Driving a 22 Ram, full size, short box. Checks all the boxes for me...fits in the garage, easy to drive / park in the city & my dog loves it. Cheers,

I have the 24 Ranger and have issues with the infotainment system.. the wireless carplay does work half the time the trailer screen pops up with no trailer attached and the automatic updates will not stay on and it just doesn’t seem to perform as well as my 21 did

Wait what! Somebody paid off consumer reports to steer customers to the actual sh!tty trucks!😮😂
  • @YerBoyTroy
Even though CR is survey driven, it doesn not mean that it is a comprehensive assessment. Reliability is difficult to assess and cant be fully realized off of just one component out of the literal hundreds that make up a vehicle. It takes time to properly aggregate data on all the componentry that can prematurely fail and the rate of failure across the vehicle population. That being said this is just a survey based on ownership experience and not a case study conducted by professionals studying the reliability of these vehicles. Example, the Frontier is still a good truck, but like all of the vehicles on this list, it will have its share of problems. You as a potential buyer will need to use your discretion to identify which vehicle issues are tolerable for you as no truck or car out there will be problem free.

Walked out of the house this morning and all four windows were down on my truck. I’m sure I didn’t leave it with the windows down. As a matter of fact, I’ve only used the button that does that once when it was new. Glad it didn’t rain! Did an update cause this? The info tainment unit is buggy!
  • @MeliorIlle
Claiming infotainment makes a vehicle unreliable is pure stupidity.

Next time I need a microwave oven I think I'll research it at Car and Driver.

this article feels like a bit of a waste of time with not enough data on the GM twins and the taco, yet they are still being ranked
  • @hdfxst1521
Had a 2020 Ranger and it was filling the crankcase with fuel. Oil level would rise about 1/8” plus up the dipstick in about 1500 miles. Ford was confused about it and when I even showed where there are people on you tube having the same issue, then they replaced an injector. Still was acting up. Can’t see how the new taco is more reliable than a Colorado. The taco is smokin transmissions, breaking front diffs! It’s overpriced junk!
