I'm back with another video! I finally built a secret gun room! In this video we talk about and describe the process of building one and a final tour of it at completion!

Happy memorial day!

Very nice build. The only drawback is the rather awkward location of the mirror. If I walk into a room with the mirror there, my "something isn't right" alarms go off.

Great work 👍 if you feel like it, hang a second mirror on the far left for symmetry. Makes it look like the first mirror isn't just randomly stuck up there and psychologically makes you less curious about the choice to put it there.

Top tip. If you’re going to make a secret hidden room it’s probably not a good idea to broadcast its location on the internet.

I built something similar after I bought my first house. I added security cameras around my house and connected it all to monitors in the secret room and had all my gear, plate carrier, guns, and cheapest but effective nods I could find. My family and I dealt with a few breakins as a kid so I always dreamt about having a secret room/armory. I don’t got too much guns but the few guns I have are ones that I really love. When someone does eventually decide to break into my house I know I would be safe both when I want to fight and when I don’t.

Most people aren't going to notice but the spacing of the windows and placement of the mirror is kinda odd. The illusion is very likely to fool any smash-and grab opportunists that happen to come along if the house were ever empty but if the opportunity ever comes up I would recommend moving the door more towards the center so the mirror placement makes more sense. I know you came up with the mirror thing after laying out the room, I'm just suggesting that if there's a next time, or for anyone who is planning their own room, take that into consideration. Might also consider using an exterior door and placing studs close together or some other way of reinforcing the wall just in case someone ever does discover it it might slow them down enough for the police to get there. Overall it is still very cool and should still serve it's purpose.
  • Only "improvement" that could be suggested would be where the door ended up. It's very well concealed, but the mirror looks odd where it is. Still, the concealment is excellent!

That's an awesome idea - I'm finishing out my basement and I have a room that's fully enclosed in cement on all 6 sides (minus a doorway) and I was thinking of doing a floor to ceiling, wall to wall bookshelf, but this space, although a home office now, is designed to be a bedroom. So a sliding mirror would make a ton of sense! And I love how you did the floor trim under the entrance.

Gettin ready to layout my room & this is a great idea. Awsome job on the construction & utilization of space. A very nice collection,im very impressed.
  • Outstanding work!! That room will enjoyed so much more because you put your hands on it

The drawer slides for the mirror was a great idea!
  • Awesome use of space and great lay out. I'm getting ideas for my gun room. Cheers!

Nice work! Looks clean and tidy. I’ve seen other rooms where that have an alarm on the door aswell.
  • 👏that's awesome!! Great idea, nice work!! Congratulations, turned out great!

Nice work. I too use shoe organizers to store magazines, and, in the safe, handguns.
  • @thebronzetoo
That came out awesome, man!!! And that's an impressive collection!!
  • That's amazing! great work. Having a closet the kind with mirror doors in front would also work. Then the secrete door in front of the door could be a shoe rack or something like that.
  • Looks good I like it! I’m straight stealing your sliding mirror idea!! And it’s legal cause I’m giving you credit 😂👍🏽 I like it better than any store bought ideas and simpler than a book shelf
