That transformer, whether you want to call him skyfire or jetfire ( jetfire to me!) is the GOAT. My all time favorite toy maybe ever. It’s a Robotech Veritech design, that transforms in all 3 modes, AND it’s in the transformer line?!?!

I remember as a kid, getting G1 Jetfire. And in my mind....he was the same character in the cartoons. (The childs imagination) I also remember being slightly disappointed that he didn't look anything like the cartoon Skyfire! Thankfully.... Fanstoys, Takara, NewAge, and Magic square have provided us with a proper Skyfire 40yrs later.

G1 Skyfire was the orignal design. When Hasbro purchase the Robotech, they changed the original design of Skyfire to Jetfire which is a design from Robotech Skull Leader.

I recently gave all my GI Joe and Transformers from the 80s and 90s to a local family with a bunch of kids and they LOVED them! I always thought I would have my own kids but that never happened, so I was glad they went to kids that would enjoy them as TOYS, not just sitting on shelves as artifacts of an age now near extinct. I still have many old Star Wars toys, but anymore I’m feeling the same way about those too. Especially now that Star Wars is damaged goods that store can’t even give away the product. It’s just so nice seeing those kids playing with the toys that brought me so much joy in my childhood.

I remember shredding that Jetfire box Christmas morning. It still makes me smile thinking about it. I have every piece intact like it was brand new still to this day except the box 🤣 one of the coolest presents Santa ever brought me 👍 I still have my original Optimus minus a box 🤣
