Thank you for taking the time out to recognize the Knock off toys that padded out our collections.
  • Great topic! Chap Mei would have to be the hardest toys to collect. So many variants, repackaging, multi-packs, etc. I doubt the company even kept track of all of it. It would be quite the rabbit hole. I don't think there will ever be a complete guide for collecting them. There's so many great toymakers from this time period and so little real information about them. Mannix, Soma, Juyba, S&T Sales Inc, Remco, Sungold, Master robotix, Wonilandia, Top Toys, Toys N Things, SGI, Imperial, Simba.

Chap Mei toys are incredible, but they truly hit there mark in the years 2000’s. Trying to acquire complete sets is a nightmare tho. So many different lines, gifts sets, value packs. All with different title names. Some times you will see the same figure, and the company name changes!
  • Love it. Thanks as always for helping me keep smiling. You rock! 👍🏻🙃🦔🦔🦔
  • @komissionkamen
I have a lot of videos on Chap Mai soldiers on my channel, all of them were bought in thrift stores in Montreal. There are plenty of them on ebay, but prices with commissions are not spawnable.

Those from the "Action Figure" line are straight up Galaxy Warriors/Heroes line from Sungold. Great video, thank you!!!

Thanks for the video! Love these knock off guys! I remember the dragon warriors... i always wanted a good set of knights and a toy castle like in Castle In the Attic!
  • These bring back so many great memories. I can still see the bargain toy aisle in my favorite toy stores that had these toys on them.

I rember those Herculese figures, great video! 😀😀
  • @SpeedTiberius
That "Ninja" figure looks like he'd make a perfect Hamato Yoshi for any vintage TMNT
  • @NerdRahtio
Chap Mei loved to reuse molds in different lines and they were all over Big Lots back in the day. They (Chap Mei) also popped up in Kmart before they went under and some of the molds were used on TRU lines.

My favorite fantasy line back in the 90s was Galaxy Warriors would love to see a video on them

6:06 I don't think the green guy with the wings has a big enough axe 🤣 Also, the Dualface Monsters appear to be using the Mannix wrestler bodies as well (I have a small but weird collection of those guys)
  • I had that goblin thing from the Hercules set. I used his sword as a replacement for He-Man's.
  • @lokiwartooth1138
12:20 that sword on valgard looks just like the one that came with one of the spawn figures. Pretty sure medieval spawn.
  • @noodles2459
I had the multi arm bat goblin as a kid it came in afigure pack I got at busch gardens or something. It was a common mould for sure.
  • The bodies for those dual face figures were the Hasbro wwf figures...the viking is a mold copy of berserker

I had these two hollow castles (basically just a cylinder with some windows and stone molded on) that were packed full of rubbery monsters and knights, kind of like the Muscle toys. One castle was light tan while the other was dark grey. Wish I could find them again but that was early 80’s.
