Dry Eye is not simply a mild discomfort that many people have to deal with, but rather it's an actual chronic disease/condition affecting millions of people around the world. You can have no symptoms, moderate symptoms, and even severe painful symptoms. Common symptoms include gritty eyes, burning, redness, tearing, fluctuation in vision, and of course a dry feeling sensation! There are many factors that contribute to dry eyes, and it is crucial to have a thorough dry eye evaluation to determine a proper treatment plan. Dry Eyes is also associated with Sjogrens, a systemic autoimmune disease that commonly causes chronic joint and muscle pain. I was incredibly moved and literally bawling while watching this. I've been on my autoimmune diagnosis journey for years and it's extremely validating to hear that is not uncommon. I've gotten everything matched symptom wise but no official diagnosis (yet, it takes weeks/months to see docs sometimes) but my autoimmune tests are testing positive so hopefully that last piece of confirmation comes soon It is incredibly helpful and soul soothing to hear similar struggles and very helpful physical and mental advice. I am also extremely validated by hearing some of the things I've been focusing on (health, nutrition, supplements, sleep) as crucial. Thank you Venus and thanks to the channel for uploading this and the website that led me here. ✨️Tysm 💫

  • Thanks for sharing. I have sjögren too, it needed many years to be diagnosed, doctors should be more aware of those immune diseases, even by very young people.
  • Thank you for the video I am fighting some thing right now with chronic dry eyes. I have tried so many different things and they have not worked the other things that I could try out are not covered by insurance so I will not be having that done. I am single and in my 50s , my grandson who just turned 13 in a month disability so there’s no way I can afford any of this stuff. It’s just so depressing.

Plugging your tear ducts causes you to keep the tears in your eyes. This is quite the opposite of what you are saying. Tear ducts are drains for your eyes. Your tears do not come out of them. If you have watery eyes, you definitely do not want to plug up your tear ducts...
