A Celebration of Live Music returning after the Pandemic lock down, leading the charge are our Singapore Musical Legends through this ‘A date with friends – A Blast from the Past’ Concert, held on the 3rd of March 2022 at the Esplanade Concert Hall.


Hosted by our Rediffusion DJ and local television personality, Larry Lai, this concert brought together members of three extraordinary groups: John and Raymond of The Crescendos, Singapore’s first pop band to be signed by an international label; brothers Mel and Joe Ferdinands, a folk-rock duo who rose to fame through Radio Television Singapore’s Talentime in 1971; and Peter Diaz, singer, guitarist and songwriter for the rock and roll quartet The October Cherries (former The Surfers).


We were part of the band for Peter’s segment, in the band were good friends: Jeremy Yeo (Drums), Reginald Khoo (Bass), Sharon Nunis (Keys) and the Singapore Char Siew Bao! covering backing vocals. Ruby Chen, Jason Loo and Dominic Cai, Jacob was doing Guitar duties.
