When your son said "watermelon and cream cheese" I laughed as my wife is Greek, and she loves watermelon and Halloumi Cheese. The Cheese can be salty and seems to go well with watermelon. She got me hooked on it.
  • We love watching you father your babies. BRAVO. God bless your family David!

Great seeing the results but I would have appreciated seeing the family sit down and taste test some of the very different ones and add their opinions.
  • Best watermelon and cantaloupe harvest I ever had was when we threw leftover seeds on a quarter acre and forgot about it. Hauled loads to town
  • "I'll have that 'peace'" The peace of knowing that your kids are learning to grow food for themselves. OUTSTANDING!!!

You should be proud of your son. He sounds so intelligent when he talks.

You cannot keep us all suspense like that.We must know what every one of those tastes like! Lol 💖✌️😃
  • Soothes my soul to see a kid outside , and then enjoying growing food on of that! Hope for the future, good job mom and dad.

What an absolutely abundant and beautiful garden. Definitely the most brilliant display of God's harvest. Best gardening family ever! Simple living, high thinking :_DTGStPossenti:
  • I think it's good to have both small and large watermelons -- small families (like the two people in my household) can use a small melon, while large families like yours may want the big melons. So keep going, and keep growing!

It's lovely to do your own landrace varieties - it's how regional and family Heirloom varieties begin! When you find one (or several) you really like, you keep planting those to reinforce their diverse genetics and the particular growing conditions. Saving seeds means you can then name that seed blend "The Good Lower Alabama Watermelon" or something. 😁

Yesss 😅 been waiting for this one! And also seriously thank you David for sharing your family and man it’s going to be very cool to see Ezekiel’s experiments as he gets older 😊

I love it.... Best fruit ever and no effort because you (dad) water the garden. Lol.

Watermelons, halumi cheese, and a piece of bread. That’s my favourite go to easy five minute to prepare quick tasty summer meal.😁
  • What a great young man... best thing you've ever grown!
  • The watermelon pattern would make a great camoflauge pattern! lol I got to talk with Ezekiel at the first Scrubfest almost two years ago. He was very smart and knowledgeable about gardening even then, and I'm sure he'll come up with some great landraces in the future.
  • Your son is a great gardener & fun to watch as he hunts down his watermelon! Thanks for sharing 🤗🇨🇦
