Blade and Sorcery Combat in Skyrim VR - The PLANCK Mod

Modding Skyrim VR into the ultimate Elder Scrolls VR game is worth it. And installing the PLANCK mod from the mod nexus last week basically put Blade and Sorcery combat into Skyrim VR. Which is extremely funny because for the last 5 years, Skyrim VR melee combat has been completely void of collisions. And now I don't think I could go back to Skyrim VR without PLANCK, even if I still had the HIGGS mod, VRIK and SKY UI installed. There are some animations that uh... well I'll leave that in the video. Thanks for reading this description for some reason.

all of these mods combined will make the absolute perfect skyrim VR. the only thing that would be better is if skyrim was made for VR, not just a port

This isn't the end. It's the beginning of a new era of VR collision mods. 80% of which will not be TOS.

This is actually making me consider getting VR, for research purposes of course

“A fellow will get nervous when man approaches with his weapon drawn…” Yeah, or when he, y’know, grabs your head and presses a dagger to your jugular. I guess they didn’t teach vitals in imperial boot camp, what with Skyrim physics and all…
  • Bethesda: releases a clunky nauseating mess where you're barely able to interact Modders: fine I'll do it myself

This is bloody fascinating. Here's another weird but really well done mod that adds even more. 'Take a Peak' lets you look through bloody keyholes, even into other cells. Mighty impressive. Don't think the modding community will be happy till Skyrim is considered a 'metaverse.'
  • I'm sure someone will mod in the "Dynamic Penetration System" that VRChat modders have already figured out, thus making swords of "all kinds" able to be inserted into bodies.

The amount of dumb things I've already done with this mod have brought an unfathomable amount of joy to my life in this game. Don't know if you've found the settings yet, but in the HIGGS ini file you can turn off the slow effect when carrying objects/bodies as well as (in the PLANCK ini file) toggle on the ability to ragdoll living npcs when you grab them. Hours of entertainment just tossing people around and watching them get back up like, "what the hell was that!?" Great video, Habie! Have a good one, my dude.

"we can grab the NPCs" Oh boy, you know where this is about to go........

I love how Skyrim can be molded into so many different things. The combat system needed this overhaul way too much. It's so nice it finally has some realistic fighting

This is absolutely incredible. Skyrim VR wasn't on my radar much. It's shot to top of my priority list now

Imagine shaking Lydia's head and telling her DON'T USE YOUR HUNTING BOW, USE THE GIANT DAEDRIC HAMMER I GAVE YOU

If you haven't already, go on a mission to defeat at least one dragon priest. Even if you don't plan on using the mask... The act of defeating a Dragon Priest, Lifting up its lifeless husk, Ripping out its mask from its socket, And placing it into your bag, All without any pesky menu interactions! I've don't think I've ever felt more like an absolute bad@ss.

I love how habie slaps the sign just to watch it swing every time just the simple things that make the game more enjoyable

I thought after 5000+ hours modding and playing Skyrim I was done with it a number of years ago. Your videos make me want to get a VR set and try the best ever version of the game. The crossbow looks so much fun, I need to get VR! You reaffirmed to me that this is my favourite game of all time.
  • @No-is2cj
You made me, for the first time, wish I had VR. First video I've ever seen from you and it was incredible. Thank you

Someone could improve this by dividing the body in sections so each one can receive more/less damage than the others, it could even have dismemberment.
