5:15 I feel like Hidden just came up with this joke at the store or something and that's normal but when you come up with an idea you wanna use and then you use it, it's either good or bad and in this scenario it is terrible, but he still included it anyways. This joke is so poorly executed. I know I wanna test the game is your entire brand but referencing it like this is such a bad idea. You can't just intentionally have a reference to something totally unrelated in a video set to be different from your others it doesn't work like that. The only time you can reference a game other than the one you are playing is when the game itself forces a reference you're familiar with or when you're listing things when talking about a topic, there is literally no exception. Take a look at these clips from Hiddens regretavator video. It uses this humour perfectly by using references from the game to make jokes out of it. This is how you use this type of humour flawlessly, not whatever this sloppy lazy mess is. Even witnessing this joke makes me wanna turn down the volume and rethink my life and my generation as a whole and what makes it worse is that you can clearly see the ball coming and it's slow which just ruins the entire "You'll never see it coming" gag. The only point of it is to make fun of you for not seeing it coming because it's so fast and the ball is going slow so it just ruins the entire joke and just makes you confused. This joke is placed so late aswell, at this point you don't expect as many jokes that aren't cuts in sentences but when this one comes up it just leaves you more confused on how that was meant to be executed. Literally all of Hiddens jokes are oral with some sound effects sprinkled in, but that's far beyond the same for this joke, it has no charm to it at all. According to HiddenLevel himself he stated that this joke was meant to show that he himslef didn't see it coming. If this is the case, there is nothing being communicated to the viewer that Hidden didn't see this coming because the video only showed the half of the video which is the blade ball. Instead if Hidden wanted to communicate this he should have definitely showed both screens and have it slowly zoom in the blade ball part. If you add a joke in mid editing, first thing you should do is not use it at all. This joke just seems so forced in like it needed to be in this video even when it would have benefited if it weren't there in the first place it is literally Dashes spider part. It's like if the viewer hasn't laughed at this point this is like the last ditch effort to make them. Hell the cut at the end is even better executed than this. If you still wanted a joke there I would recommend a freeze and some sort of sound effect like the one in the StrangeUsername segment in the "I made a Roblox Game to troll my friends" video, otherwise just don't add anything. It would be better than this abomination of a joke. No doubt, worse joke on the entire channel so far. For those who don't know I am NOT messing around. This joke is actually hot garbage. Hidden executed this joke so badly we should get scientists to study how it's even possible to make a joke this mediocre. This joke did everything wrong and miserably failed at everything it was trying to communitcate. edit: On further inspection you can actually hear a small exhale of surprise at 5:17. This is the ONLY thing indicating that Hidden didn't see it coming but even then it's extremely hard to hear and miscommunicated
