Do not be fooled by traction control, it is an aid for beginners. The limited slip differential (LSD) is traction control for the professional driver. Traction control limits the rotation of the driven wheels, by lowering engine revs. The LSD also limits the rotation of the driven wheels, but it does not lower engine revs. Can you see the immediate advantage? Learn how to tune the LSD, and in the process of doing so, you will understand more about the car that you are driving.

The people who complain about using TC/ABS are ridiculous. These are features used in REAL RACE CARS. Not in all cars in all leagues of course but it's patently ridiculous to assume that turning on TC/ABS is somehow a crutch. With the ridiculous horsepower of many cars, they simply would not be controllable without these technological features.

I appreciate you explaining things. Keep up the good work! If you ever make a tuning/upgrades guide i bet youd do a good job there too
  • Hello, thank you for all these very complete and interesting explanations, on my side after a few hours of play I had the unpleasant surprise to see that the counter-steering aid was active and once removing it was a completely different driving and mastery of the vehicle I found the gran turismo that I like (I should have seen your video before) on the other hand it is true that the traction control depending on the track or the car has easily risen to 5 me I prefer to force myself to stay between 1 and 3 knowing that I drive with an automatic gearbox because I'm disabled in one hand and I still managed to do the first 3 license in gold, the fourth I can't do IA3 because of the update and the S license I haven't tried it yet I preferred to concentrate on the circuits and make money once I pocketed my supra Gr 4 because I know that like in any gran turismo the money will be rare and hard to win so I race on high speed ring 97 500 cr with the sup ra gr 4 equipped with nitro with a ballast and a power reduction set the ballast to 48 6 94 in the vehicle options and doing a clean race becomes easy to farm the money and buy all the new cars from the dealership before doing the race coffee mode and trigger the second-hand market here is where I am ... good race to all

Super cool that you are doing this for those beginning, having had the benefit of your guidance in GT I know that it will be essential and of high value to all. Like deployed πŸ‘

I find I’m using Traction Control far more than I ever did in GT Sport.
  • Thanks Chris! I will need to experiment with the force feed back on the G29, thanks for the advice
  • @garusinka

I’m playing with my two sons and this video has given me more ideas for how I can impose some handicaps on myself and make it easier for my kids to enjoy the game more :)

This helped a lot. Great video appreciate you. πŸ™
  • Honestly I felt they did such a great job with gt7 in terms of teaching you how to drive without assists. I played sport with cone markers on but I started gt7 with no assists other than weak abs and I’ve already learned most of the tracks pretty well.
  • @94airodriguez
For some reason I had ABS off the whole time up to car collector lever 10. I kept wondering why my braking seemed so much more intense compared to the CPU's 😭 My lap times has improved so much after setting it back to default!
  • @proto7688
Have you tested any fanatec wheels or other direct drives? If so what do you feel is a better purchase? I got the game few days ago ... Def want a wheel
  • @ElectricTSL
Good video, hope to see you on track soon!!πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
