it's really sad that they had to fight the suits to get zombies mode approved, and then once it's a success the suits turn around and try to make a massive profit off it with none of the artistry just feels bad that they didnt give them some faith in the beginning

The CE plasma pistol is my favorite ray gun. Fast fire rate and cool sound design. The only thing it lacks is the EMP feature that it’s future incarnations had.

Black ops 1 is the best raygun by far. The visual design in that whole game is great

My favorite ray gun has to be either the one from World at war because of nostalgia or the one from cold war pre nerf, since it felt like an actual wonder weapon instead of a pea shooter.

My heart will always belong to the OG ray gun of World at War. I love everything about it and how important it was to each game.

Not only did you give us an evolution of one of the most classic guns in video game history, I love that you gave it history with explaing how it got creates the development process aswell. Usually in these evolution type videos, they add no substance just gameplay. Very nice explaining things in detail and your voice was a plus as it sounded nice 👍

I don’t care what anyone else says, to this day my favourite iteration of the Ray Gun is the BO2 Mk 2. It totally changed the game, and that camo when you PaP’d it on Origins was just amazing. Still my favourite aesthetic for that gun.

I don’t usually leave really positive comments on videos but I’m just baffled at how this video is better researched and better put together than what most of the Zombies YouTubers put out. Fantastic video

A huge variable you missed is the push back you get when firing the raygun in earlier CODs. This was actually a really big deal because if you were someone that liked to do glitches, like the famous "jump-crouch under the grenades-wall-buy on the 2nd floor of nact", you'd often have to sit in a very specific spot in order for the glitch to work but every time you fired the raygun it would push you backward potentially moving you out of your glitch spot.

The Ray Gun was almost like an idol within my old friend circle for Zombies Survival CoD. My friends and I would always yell "I GOT A RAY GUN! I GOT A RAY GUN!" each time we rolled one. We sort of saw it as a higher being, higher power than anything else in the game, and as explained we went wild for each time we saw one in game. Definitely a benchmark for me at least for my early gaming days.

My god man you unlocked a memory harking back to the accidental early Mark 2 release I remember hearing about it being in the game. I vividly remember, recording a video on my tablet, with my squeaky 12 year old voice, "Look what I gottt!" As I resume the theatre clip, pulling the pack a punched Mark 2 from the Mob of the Dead pack a punch. Was super excited to show all my friends. Tragically that video is now lost to time, died with my old facebook account, but man, I remember it like it was yesterday

The whole bit of pointing out that it was a work of love from the creators and not a happy accident for the bosses was very good. Liked the videos instantly after that.

Personally I love the green version of the BO2 ray gun. Sad to hear that the gun got only less and less relevant as the series went on but at least Cold War and Vanguard are showing improvements for the little blaster pistol.
