OT/NT Consistency - Romans 8:28, Isaiah 55:8

I was reading through the Bible this morning and Isaiah 55 really reminded me of the popular passage in Romans 8. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how consistent the Bible is, even when different books were probably written hundred, if not thousands of years apart.

I've found that the more I read the Bible the more I learn about who God is - faithful, graceful, forgiving, and most of all LOVING. People are quick to use scripture as a weapon to justify hateful or intolerant but those people are misguided.

Matthew 22:36-40 New International Version (NIV)
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
