It was already bad enough that they thought it would make sense for them to be part of the show, but the fact that it contradicts what we see in the original game is like a rotten cherry on top of a pile of garbage. The game clearly labeled him as a Naptime animatronic on the screens, but according to the new ‘lore’, naptime d o e s n ’ t e v e n e x i s t . How did they not notice that they contradicted themselves??? And no, they can’t just hide from badly written lore by saying “well the company is shitty anyway, of course the decisions don’t make sense and are dangerous”, like no, that’s not an excuse to not give a crap about consistency and pretend that your version of events makes sense when there’s no reason that any human being would do this in the first place

i’m convinced there’s like a group of children stacked up in a trench coat making up the story as they go

The sleeptime-candy posters around the pizzaplex, heavy implications of moon being a "nap time" animatronic, Vanny's chips, AND the fact that in game setting and contexts make moon seem like a genuinely good-natured person: *exist* The FNAF book writers: How about NO? *proceeds to absolutely fumble the entire concept like a sack of incredibly heavy potatoes*

Here's my rule for fnaf lore: "If it contradicts the games, it's not canon". At this point I'm convinced that the fnaf writers just want to make things as confusing as possible just for the sake of being confusing.

No I actually agree, it's mostly stupid, what pisses me off even more is that we have to rely game answers IN THE FREAKIN' BOOKS!!! Is it really THAT HARD to put notes about sun and moon being involve with the theater? Or even explaining it more with notes about the generator?! The fact scott and steelwool fucked up so bad with this that "Oops, we forgot to explain things, so lets put the answers in the books and have people purchase them for the lore!" And this also includes in the recent leak GGY story that is coming out, oh my god! Things are going down hill so fast, at this point, probably even gonna get lore answers for Glamrock Bonnie and the disaster happening in the cafeteria.

The Canon lore about Sun/moon being in the show would make more sense if Moon was just supposed to play the part of a villain. But got a bug in his programming making him think he was one. Still some issues there but it makes marginally more sense.

I have infinitely more respect for the fnaf theorists, especially when this is what they have to build a timeline or some sort of explanation for the underlying story.

Honestly at this point I just consider FNaF 6 and UCN to be the final point of the FNaF Timeline The Glitchtrap Arc is it's own separate Timeline for my headcanon
