the public doesn't need to be educated about EVs, manufacturers needs to educate themselves to build what thier customer wants and can afford.

Shopping for a Ford is like shopping at Dollar General with Neiman Marcus prices.

They won't go out of business as long as government keeps bailing them out and prevents true competition from entering the market.

Remember when Ford made an affordable car like the Taurus? It used to be the best selling car in America.

I was in a Ford dealership today, not one of the 20 employees I saw even acknowledged me and I eventually walked out after looking at their way overpriced trucks. They are still trying to charge pandemic prices today, a 58k sticker price vehicle they were selling for 68k with dealer mark up. They had a truck for 132k, that is absolutely insane. The lot was full of trucks, a lot of trucks, I know they can't be selling, they are just sitting there at those prices. You can go for all the big margin cars you want, and avoid the more affordable low margin cars, but you get no margin if they are not selling, you get bankruptcy instead, I think that's where their going if they don't get their heads out of their butts and start looking at the reality that is punching them in the face right now. By the way this is exactly what happened in the 1970s, they stopped making cars people wanted, their quality was garbage, they kept pushing big expensive gas guzzling cars, and the Japanese came in and wiped the floor with them. It's amazing how the people in charge of these big companies are some of the most incompetent people in the entire company.

Hard to imagine a company losing billions and still staying in business.

You are right about one thing. There is an "education" problem, but the problem is that the manufacturers need an education on why ticking off your core customer is dangerous for your company.

Having to replace the PLASTIC oil pan if you take it off the motor is definitely bad business.

I desperately need another truck , but I refuse to get screwed over at a dealer …

Thank God I sold my Ford shares years ago. Have NOT missed them at all. Found On Road Dead is the back in style!!
