The Undocumented Railway Series | Book 1 | Story 3 | The Curse of the Square Shaped Buffers

Published 2023-09-27
Dear Friends
According to Awdry, Gordon didn't always have his square buffers. He apparently crashed into the station, causing his old buffers to be damaged. When he went to works, they had no round buffers left and so he was fitted with a pair of square shaped ones. The ones that he wears to this very day. Turns out, there was alot more to this story, involving curses?? Engines from Sodor's past??? AND SHANE DOOINEY OF ALL ENGINES GOT INVOLVED??? WHATS HAPPENING??? Well, find out in this story lmao

Great story! Even I was convinced the curse was real! Leave it to the older engines to whip a naughty, inexperienced young engine like Gordon into shape!
  • Gordon just being a twat to Neil who was just trying to make him feel better about his new buffers is very in character for Gordon at that time period
  • Also for some reson Shane dooniy being superstitious makes sense for me

I believe it was actually Henry who crashed and got square buffers, but it's interesting to see how Gordon got his.

This explains why Gordon has square-shaped buffers in the RWS.
  • Gordon was unused, "What do you know about buffers?" You don't even have any."
  • If you don’t mind me asking, what class and colour is Lachlan? I hope I spelled that right.

I know you probably did say Eagle was a fanmade character, but is Madison Eagle with a sex change? After all, I thought that was the red engine's name - just ask Wildnorwester and/or Fan of Hiro. Are Madison and Eagle the same engine?
