This is a very good presentation. I just had a vitrectomy 4 days ago. This is very helpful.

This video is so old now, an update is needed. I'm having the surgery this week, hope there are no problems. The hole is small, just discovered it 4 months ago, when I got new glasses. I barely notice it. Hope I'm not rushing the surgery.

Thank you. A vitrectomy (July 2020) helped repair a macular hole. My vision has improved. Slowly, but surely. It will probably never be what it used to be, but it's better. I had been on Tamoxifen for several years when it happened. Some of us apparently are more likely to have a macular hole from Tamoxifen, according to my oncologist. So, she took me off of it. I also had multiple head traumas as a rambunctious child.
