This is what happened to me. Unfortunately more than once. Several surgeries later, the retina became too damaged to restore; this was my left eye; my right eye was damaged at birth. As a result, I'm now totally blind. This was 32 years ago. However, I moved on, I'm working full time and have been in a relationship for 18 years. I'm hoping retina transplants can be performed at some point.

Had a Vitrectomy four days ago. Already blood clearing from my sclera (the white bit) vision improving in my eye and gas bubble dissipating. Science is wonderful!

My doctor told us the exact same process, with almost the same set of words. But I was not able to imagine it, this helped me a lot! Thanks.

Sat in hospital 15 hours post op. Very well presented and informative content. Just waiting for the specialist to visit and go home hopefully.

Just done with retinal detachment surgery last Thursday. Now I have cataract surgery after 2 months.

I just had this Surgery two days ago they did local anesthesia So I knew the whole time what he was doing the Vitrectomy My eye is totally blood shot and i can't see anything out of it So I'm hoping the healing process will heal correctly and i get my full vision back The Specialist Dr Adam Jonot Is a super guy and a great Surgeon and he new exactly how to handle this surgery Thank you
