  • This channel! As someone who is relatively new to cycling - and someone who is not, let's say, a teenager - the content you produce is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. You're serious about becoming a better cyclist, but you're honest about fumbling your way into everything and you cover the topics, needs, irrational wants (LOL), that are so on-point for newbies. Love it. I really hope this channel is a success and that you continue with it. If it helps to hear it, know that it's really valuable for people like me.

Amazing, never related so much to a cycling video before now! Top work, really enjoyed the video.
  • Thanks for your video, it’s just what I was looking for. I ride for recreationally a few times a year and just want to make sure I’m my fit is good enough without going over board. I’ll be using your link 👍
  • Gem of a cycling channel that’s realistic and also has high production value. Subbed. Found you from the MyVeloFit newsletter!
  • @pinoyxbox
Nice! I’ll try this once i get my new frame.

This video was super good. Informative and funny.
  • Yeah, this channels the real deal. Just subbed. I have my first gravel bike that I'm picking up this Saturday, coming from riding mountain bikes for the last 6 years, channels like these are what I need to be surrounding myself with. Cheers! 👍
  • I didn't do everything you did, but I am intimately familiar with this journey.
  • @RitzChea
LOL. Love the content and keep up the great work. Discovered this channel because of the RCA video.

I have a constant irritation at my left kneecap while I feel very comfortable on my bike. The problem can be saddle height, for/aft position or cleat position which might cause bad alignment of the knee in accordance with the foot but I don't have the impression that this programme can correct knee tracking? I did three bike fits. Firts one corrected my soles and the second one asked me what that was al about 😀. The second and third put me that high that I felt very uncomfortable on my bike. The third also put me very high. I changed everything again by myself to get comfortable but I this feel pain in my left knee 😢.
  • Did the new saddle really make a big difference on your indoor long hour sessions or what do you honestly think?
  • @WatiosCiclismo
Hi man! bikefit is not perfect only based on numbers, any case is unique, and every posibility or lacks of every kind of body needs to be tested before the biomechanical analysis, nice video man, greetings from Colombia.

Thanks for the video, it was fun and entertaining. The main thing I learned? Make changes one at a time. Which I already knew, but I am stubborn and when I want to change something, I change it LOL So I know the right way, but will most likely continue doing it my way ; ) On to the next shiny object🤪
  • "Inflexible hamstrings but flexible hips". I can relate. Makes it tricky to stretch hamstrings when you can cheat with your hips.

So I just subscribed after randomly bumping into your videos a few times this week. Like your style of storytelling! Could it you’ve had an other super interesting channel before on printing photo’s? I learned s lot from those vids. If so, hi! We meet again :)

I’ve been a bike fitter and coach for over 20 years, and I still don’t understand that opening statement. Bike fitting isn’t that complicated and shouldn’t be that expensive. Bike fitting can be boiled down to three simple steps, put the rider within their range of motion in every direction and teach them how to get their weight on the pedals. I can usually get those two steps done in under an hour, and I would gladly compare my results with any other fitter spending 3 or 4 hours. The added “precision” that they claim in the long, expensive fittings is what I call accurately measuring Jell-O. As soon as they get out and start riding, things start to change. If customers want more it happens on the road where I can see what’s really happening. Your fitting app misses all of that… To be honest, I don’t get any of the marketing surrounding bike fitting. Slamming the stem is just one step in “looking pro”, which is taking the fit of the top .01% and trying to apply it to the other 99.99% - that can’t work. Then there is the claim that fitters make of using a “scientific process”. The scientific process involves testing, observation and conclusions - that’s not what most bike fitters do. Retul (the example I use because that’s the marketing BS my shop offers) is willful ignorance. It’s fitting by database, which can’t work for an individual. If you ever find yourself in the Boston area, I would gladly go over what a bike fit is (or at least should be) and I’ll take you out on the road and actually make it work (or correct problems that don’t show up on the trainer). Yes, I did say there are three steps in bike fitting. The third step has to do with the terrible quality control over the human body - that gets complicated…

bikefitjames inspired purchases? :) nice vids!

interesting , is there any front side view to look at knees movement laterally ? as this is usually a key point for bike fit and cleats position
