I'm at stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver and an immune disorder. I live with my 87 yr old mom who has dementia. I'm struggling to take care of myself because I take care of her. This song helps to reassure me that my faith in God will allow me to rest in eternal life with no more worries.

my grandmother passed away last night and just before we lost her i asked my grandfather what her favorite song was, he told me this song was one of their songs. so i played it for them as she took her final breaths. i will forever be reminded of her through this song ❤️

My Dad died on February 18 2020 from heart complications, I was 21 at the time and I now just graduated college (no thanks to the pandemic taking away our ceremony.) Simon and Garfunkel was one of my dad’s favorites and we played this song at his funeral. Today is Father’s Day and it’s been very difficult for me so far. My Dad was a Vietnam vet and a very loving man, I thought the least I could do for him today was talk about him here under one of his favorites. The most heartfelt song I’ve ever heard.

Every night I sing this song to my son in our native language and he falls asleep to it. He turned one year old this month. My lovely Mum is dying and we are listening to this together in the hospice now. It was her fav song in 1974 when she was pregnant with me. It soothed her then. It soothed me as a baby. It soothes her now and breaks my heart. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, you are a part of our lives, Thank you.

I’m going through a tough time in life. I’m dealing with moving into a house and getting our furniture back and it wasn’t easy as I expected. In 2022 I made friends, but our friendship between us ended in 2023. I felt like I had no one to left in the world to be around me, but I recently got to Middle School and made friends on the first day and they were real friends I can count on. My family and true friends are my bridge over troubled water.
