You forgot to mention the lore of the Cicada's faulty heat sinks! Not that such a lightly armed mech would have heat issues to begin with, but damned if the Cicada doesn't try to be the crappiest mech in all of 3025!

2A does have double the structure though, and using 3 Hex weapons is more a bonus than a reliable tactic, but not saying it's a good mech either. The 3C though, that's got potential.

Ah yes, Cicada. The saddest medium. I would not be able to pinpoint the best medium mech, but Cicada for sure is the worst. Honestly the only reason for it existence that i can imagine is a command mech for lance of lights, because some rich buffoon refused to hop in in something smaller.

I think I heard somewhere that this thing was more intended to be a lance leader for lights because originally they stuffed a bunch of fancy toys in it to do that. Although the problem was they didn't necessarily tell everyone that, so people were throwing it into battles like it was a centerion (although they did learn that you can stuff in just about any weapon system you want, a great feature before omnimechs arrived in setting). That said there is still a reason why they stopped making it. Who knew that putting your lance leader in a bigger target (if you go with the designers intention) is awfully bad for battlefield survival.

You forgot to add that LCT frame can double rack on dropship mechbays.

You are definitely not wrong with your assessment. Only positive thing I can say about the CDA-2A, is that I survived in it for THREE DAYS in the grinder during GenCon. Took me to charge a fucking Warhammer to finally die.
