What I like most about this song is its message. It does more than describe the speaker’s mental state, and also giving pragmatic advice to people going through mental illness. Try not to isolate yourself, express your feelings to your loved ones, and talk your way through the dark storms of negative thoughts when they crash over you.

This song really does capture the essence of what it’s like to experience traumas that affect you mentally, physically and emotionally. The kind of traumas that hurt and don’t ever go away; they just sit in the back of your mind repressed until something triggers the memory, and before you know it you’re sobbing or having a panic attack in private or even public. The kind that make you feel numb to the world, the kind that keep you awake all night out of fear of recurrence, and the kind that make you want to reach for a friend because you are unsure if you’re going to make it the next day. The days get better, but that doesn’t mean it won’t stop hurting; it will simply hurt less with time, to the point it no longer affects your every day function. Please seek friends, seek mental health resources, anything to talk through it. There are people who care for you. And also, you guys made a banger. Thank you for the catharsis.
