Didn't it rain children
Talk about rain oh my Lord
Didn't it fall didn't it fall
Didn't it fall my Lord didn't it rain

Didn't it rain children
Talk about rain oh my Lord
Didn't it fall didn't it fall
Didn't it fll my Lord didn't it rain

Oh it rained forty days
And it rained forty nights
There was no land no where in sight
God send the angel to spread the news
He haste his wings and away he flew
To the East to the West
To the North to the South
All day all night how it rained how it rained

Didn't it rain children
Talk about rain oh my Lord
Didn't it fall didn't it fall
Didn't it fall my Lord didn't it rain

Some at the window some at the door
Some said Noah can't you take a little more
No no said Noah no no my friends
The nature got to keep you can't get in
I told you I told you a long time ago
You wouldn't hear me you disobey me
Lord send the angel a warning to you
It began to rain and now you are through

Well it rained forty days
Forty nights without stopping
Noah was glad
When the rain stopped dropping
Knock at the window knock at the door
Come on brother Noah
Can't you take any more
No no my brothers you are full of sin
God has the key you can't get in
Would you listen how it rained

Didn't it rain children
Talk about rain oh my Lord
Didn't it fall didn't it fall
Didn't it fall my Lord didn't it rain

Didn't it rain children
Talk about rain oh my Lord
Didn't it fall didn't it fall
Didn't it fall my Lord didn't it rain

That's what we need the Internet for. To make such masterpieces live for centuries
  • There is nothing cooler on the face of the earth than a middle aged black lady playing electric guitar. It is the most glorious sight.
  • Reciting bible verses, playing electric guitar,in High heels!! Go head Sister!!👍👍👍
  • People don’t realize just how important and revolutionary this woman truly was. She was the first person ever to combine rock and roll with gospel, while also being one of the first to use guitar distortion. Even Eric Clapton took inspiration from her. This woman is incredible and up there with the very best.
  • No stage. No fancy lights. No Green Room. No PR. A TRAIN effing STATION. Pure Classic.
  • Youtube is a magic place, trust me without youtube i would only know music from radio. Youtube deserves respect.
  • She should most definitely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She should have been a inductee YEAR ONE. Can I have an AMEN?!!!
  • An unassuming distinguished lady walks on the stage in her Sunday best & picks up a Gibson SG and scorches it. Bravo! 👏

This woman is amazing. What she doing at that period in time, and even now is revolutionary. Sister Rosetta needs to be recognized and her name should be recognized. I got introduced to her 1 minute ago. I'm a fan. God bless her.💖
  • I’m embarrassed that I never heard of her before but I’m blessed to find this gem here today
  • One of the most powerful and unrecognized musicians of all time. This woman was a powerhouse of talent. She was a musical force that many many people have never heard of. I love seeing her perform.
  • Nobody with an intact soul could deny this woman was a gift to mankind. What a force of nature she was and her energy is still alive today in countless downstream currents and eddies
