From the busy landscape of Quartsite, AZ, where van lifers and travelers of all kinds live in the middle of nowhere for 6 months out of the year. To the surreal landscapes of Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea, CA, a man-made anomaly. After 6 months of living in our van and traveling the country, we’ve seen our fair share of incredible places, but nothing quite like this.     So cool! I’ve lived and camped in CA all my life and have never checked out Bombay Beach. I’m going to have to check it out! While you’re down there, don’t miss Joshua Tree which includes two dessert systems. There used to be BLM land nearby too.
