We are taking you with us on a day in the life in our island home as we navigate raising our family, running our own design business and enjoying the amazing island and all of the beauty it has to offer. Our big project today is getting organized with all of our new furniture and also putting together a fake fireplace. It's an incredible interior design decor piece to add architectural interest to any room and is perfect for home owners and renters alike! The fire turns on with a remote and there's an optional heater! We're also using old driftwood to make a statement shelf and combining all of these decor techniques is really starting to transform our island home into our dream design paradise. It's a magical place to live and we hope you get the inspiration to create your own dream home.

I appreciate your new take on your relationship with the sun. Unfortunately in New Zealand even 15 mins unprotected in the sun in summer can result in serious sunburn, so going out without sunscreen is never recommended, especially in the height of the day.
