Residents fired up after Bellevue council decertifies volunteer fire department

I was actually looking across YouTube for Fire siren videos and came scross this video. It's absolutely sad and disgusting what this boroughs city council is doing to these guys. I'm proud of that Council Member Sabreena Miller for standing up for the citizens and the firefighters. I think it's fair to agree that any medical issues that happen, if citizens in this borough can't get the medical treatment they need due to this, i feel the medical bills should be charged to each city council member. It might be harsh, but i feel its fair since the city council chose to disband it, its fair to make sure they deal with the backslash and financial issues that come with disbanding this department. I hope the city council members who chose to disband the department are heavily held accountable and I hope this borough can get their department back. Love and support from Iowa!! 🤘🇺🇲

I hope none of the councils houses catch fire ! They will watch all their belongings go up in flames and their lives destroyed because they wanted to save a few bucks .Money over lives ..it seems to me! I was born in Bellevue and no ..I don’t live there now but family does.Bellevue will always be in my heart!

The council members should all be fired. Guess all they wanted is to make sure they still get paid.

Imagine all the pet projects they can pay for with the savings!!! We are poorly lead by clowns.

They did same thing to me we had 60 volunteer firefighter with alot of service and the union firefighter came in and ruined my town lifted residency and all firefighter moved to Indiana were they don't pay firefighter....

No other department should cover that town. We are brother firefighters and we’re supposed to back our brothers play.
