My mom used to scrub my skin with Korean washcloths when I was a kid. It was painful but my skin was sooooo smooth afterwards!

  • It's a traditional thing but we use rocks. Not like any rock but.. Rocks 😂
  • As a Moroccan kid, this was the a torture device used against dirty kids. The problem is, we are ALL dirty
  • The fact that people are this grown and werent exfoliating is insane. All ethnic households understand
  • I took a shower once when I was little and I had no idea this was dead skin. I think I thought that it was like a paper or an eraser but it scared the crap outta me 😅
  • this literally happens to me naturally when i take a shower. i’ll get itchy or something and skin starts rubbing off.
  • This doctor has such beauty … I feel his goodness and honesty translates so easily across his videos, I wish he’d start a YouTube channel. Whenever I watch his tic Tok videos … invariably I find myself smiling. This man is simply a “source of joy”. 😊
  • I literally just bought this because of this video. 100/10. My skin is super soft, and it actually helped with ingrown hairs I had on my legs!

Hopefully, you talk to us about this cloth and standard washcloths in general 🙂 Have a great weekend!
  • Fun fact: In Turkey there are baths specifically for this. It‘s a very hot and steamy so the skin can come of easily, they are too rough sometimes though.
  • This is my first time hearing about this cloth, I want to try it!
  • I bought something similar on Amazon and couldn’t believe the amount of skin that came off the very first time I used it especially because I had used my loofa right before the cloth. Now when I use it in the shower only the tops of my arms have any skin that comes off everywhere else is just fine. My skin has transformed though. It’s so freakin soft & im so glad because I am 31 weeks pregnant and had been feeling like an alligator !
  • I can proudly say i discovered this when i was a kid by using my fingers
  • @Amnok
Funny thing is that washcloth is called 'Italy towel' in Korea
  • my mom is korean and used to use that when she bathed me - i loved every part of bathtime EXCEPT FOR THIS BECAUSE IT FELT LIKE I WAS BEING SKINNED LAYER BY LAYER but now when I use it on my own it's not so bad :)

In my house we used a loofah but not the soft-cute one you find on supermarket shelves. Not even the fancy expensive ones you get at the ‘organic’ stores. It was a dry loofah bought at some herbs&spices hidden oooold store in Athens downtown (Omonoia if you are connoisseurs!). Best description would be petrified old loaf of bread with a thorny exterior! 😂 It did get better once wet but as a child it was torture! 😅 As an adult I can’t wash without it and when I travel back home I always buy some new ones and also my son have me send him some to Canada! I blindly just went on and bought this Korean/Italian wash cloth too! I can’t wait to try it! ☺️
  • Fun fact: for some reason Koreans call it the “Italian towel” (이태리 타올, as it says on the package)...please don’t ask me why because I have no idea
  • Me: who has been scrubbing my body my entire life I was shocked to learn that some people just bathe with soap and water. Lmao
  • Anthony Youn makes me giggle, he has great humour 😁
