  • Never let this song die. This was Taylor's favourite Foo's song, and he will be remembered with the spirit and the energy that he puts in every song, especially this one. Miss you Taylor

Just saw the Foo Fighters tonight and they played this for the tribute as well

Was at the Melbourne concert 4/12/23 and after Dave explained this song was a tribute too Taylor by mentioning how everytime a bird flys over it’s a sign, a whole flock of birds flew over the stadium as the song begun and Dave almost missed his line as he watched them. Was such perfect timing, massive shoutout to the seagull population of Melbourne.

Honestly, Dave has a beautiful voice. Really underrated. One of the best voices rock has ever had, for me.

I miss Taylor. The smile, the voice, the energy, the energy of a sunny SoCal day, the tempo (because it's whatever he says it is), the life energy visible in his playing. See you on the other side, Taylor. ❤

One of the most lovely songs ever written. "I just kind of died for you. You just kind of stared at me." Dave Grohl never ceases to amaze.
  • I listened to this album when I was in ICU for a week back in July, 2007. I can honestly say that it helped me fight to live.
  • @rorschach1
The chord progressions in this song are so damn good.
  • @kufazuke
the intro is what an aurora would sounds like... beautiful.. beautiful song...
  • My favorite Foo Fighters song. Takes me to a special place and time.
  • @pyronixe
Taylor Hawkins said, in Rolling Stone interview that was just released, that this was his favorite Foo song. From the article: So yeah. And that song we played yesterday, “Aurora,” which is one of my favorite songs that we’ve ever recorded in my life —

This song is top tier level stuff. Chorus is so so so good.
  • Just the instrumental sound of this song makes me think of glowing sunsets over places I love to travel to.

This song never gets enough exposure. It doesn't translate well live since a lot of its beauty is in the production and subtle harmonies. It is really an incredibly crafted piece of music from start to finish. I hope someone with the necessary variables (in their band) covers this song and can bring it justice in a live setting.

I'll call my daughter Aurora cause of this song
