They did them wrong. The chorus lacked climate and made no sense, the pre chorus could been more swagged out im done with Jisoo not having impactful lines and Rosè not being attuned to the BP concept. The guitar? What? Rock and Roll? What? Bruv Pink Venom had a more hiphop vibe and they ruined it. I miss the versatile Rosie, Swagged out Jisoo lines like pretty savage and don’t get me started on Jennie and Lisa. They use to fill the songs up with decent rap now it’s like we’re bagging for some decent lines and a main rapper 😂😂It was aight but not it.

A Rihanna interpolation, an anti drop chorus , a 90's hiphop rap segment, a rock Pre chorus and a hylt chant dance break . I understand why someone wouldn't get it tbh 😭

If a less popular gg made this it would definitely be a flop

Something was definitely missing in the song but honestly it was really unique than their other mvs! I felt like pink venom was a mixed concept of their other concepts before. in my opinion it just felt like it was missing this beat.

I think the main issue is that this is their most unique comeback to date in the style and sound, yet it follows their usual formula which makes it so bland. Someone once said that BP’s producers have been trying to recreate the antidrop of whistle for their whole career and i think that sums it up pretty well - you have an amazing opening but then a slow prechorus and then a disappointing antidrop - the formula is tired.

They started up with middle eastern vibes then went to 90's hood then back to kpop. Teddy was confused in exactly what he wanted 💀

I thought I was the only one who thought something seems to be lacking. The MV was great, vocals and visuals are spot on... but the song itself fell short.

The intro was so fire the rest was just disappointing. The girls are super talented they deserved a better song :(

As someone who started listening to them right before “As if It’s Your Last” dropped, I’ve gotten bored of this current formula lol. If there’s no actual sung out chorus it’s guaranteed to sound like a clone of either DDDD or Kill This Love 💀

If this song was made by a less known group, it would've down right flopped. Honestly, the music was very bad. People here talking about visuals, mv when what's really supposed to be good was music, tbh

The chorus is sooo different from their previous songs, because this one has something missing. Their previous song has really powerful chorus but this one don't give the spark

for now, this song is neutral for me, the only thing that got me a little confused was Rosé’s and Jisoo’s pre-chorus :( their parts didn’t match the flow of the song like jennie’s and lisa’s parts. it just felt like the pre-chorus was there only to give some lines to jisoo and rosé and it really didn’t show how beautiful their voices actually are. but i think this song’s gonna grow on me<3

i thought i was a bad person for not liking the song 😭😭 blackpink was the first girl group i discovered back when i was like 10 and i was really looking forward to this comeback, but i was sadly disappointed at the chorus. i really enjoy loud and crazy music, and i got that from “kill this love”. but not from “pink venom” :((( really sad, but like you said, they’re dropping an album so hopefully i like something from them ☹️

This comeback tells so much about kpop industry enough like aint no body going to listen to this sing if it wasnt for the visuals. Literally every bp song goes "yaya yaya yaya" "da da da da" "rum pa pum pa pum" "la ta ta ta" "du ddu du" and also other kpop group' songs if this is not enough to tell remind you what kinda songs you are listening to....

Ratata ruined it. Lyrics are so dumb too.

In a way it’s still a teddy basic combo , it really reminded me of kill this love with Lisa n Jennie doing a duo rap part jisoo with her choruses and hylt by improvising basically the same dance break so overall it’s still the same but sounds diff in a way but for this to be a comeback for almost 2 years and have a “major budget” I don’t see where the money goes here for yg but slay ig 🤷🏾‍♀️

Teddy should stop writing and producing for them. I feel like Black pink is just shouting to a beat/instrumental. I just hate how kpop keeps writing ra ta ta ta ta or ba rum pum pum pum. It's really stupid.

I loved the music, the pre-chorus, the chorus, the costumes, the scenery, everything, but the "ra ta ta" part at the end, it was terrible, it wasn't impactful like the end of how you like that, I think YG was desperate to give a new comeback to Blackpink, who didn't plan that much for the song.
