"Reach Out' was the album I first discovered Burt Bacharach. I have seen Burt several times in concert (amazing performances) and he has been a part of my life for many decades. Gone, but never forgotten. May all the angels in heaven sing for you!

I have this album. I used to listen to this song when I came home on leave during Vietnam. My mom would tear up. She's gone now but I remember. This was a special song to me and her.

1973. Army Apprentice. One of my first cassettes. Astounded, aged 15, still spellbound.

Burt introduces and just past the half way mark the song takes off -- the trumpet leading the way. The voices, the strings and at the end the twinkling metal sounds (triangle?). Bacharach has an incredible talent for putting songs together. He not only wrote them but he also created some spine-tingling orchestrations. Hearing this song for the first time, I knew this.
