    This is when Dimps had creative control on making 2d Sonic game. I miss Dimps.
  • I loved how this game had you deliver a finishing blow to a boss instead of the boss fight just ending when its health hit zero, and if you failed to do so, it would get back up and regain some of its health.

    Gotta admit, I never thought to use Tricks on the Ghost Condor to stay up in the air. Learned something new from this.

    When I first played this game, I got to the final boss. My 3DS had broken shoulder buttons, so I couldn't switch to Blaze. I beat the final boss. With only Sonic's Shield.

    I really loved the boss variety of this game, each were unique to the level they debut in and required the player to use different tactics to prevail.

    I really like the fact that bosses take so many hits in this game. Any other sonic game would just make each cycle count for one hit, and have the boss go down in like 4. But the way this game does bosses makes them feel way more eventful. Kinda like Beat Em Up bosses.
  • This game was an absolute bop as a child. I was never able to get to the extra boss fight though, might have to go back for that
