From my experience, even if the languages are very different, you'll still sometimes confuse things, I'm learning Japanese and Arabic and even with both being so different sometimes my brain just wants to switch in words from the other language. I think that just has something to do with being in the process of learning both if them but I can imagine that it would be way worse if both languages were similar.

I'm learning Portuguese and french at the same time. I know they're similar but I can't help to do it. Besides, I am a Spanish native speaker and for me, not learning these languages would be a waste, since they are pretty easy if you already know spanish. Luckily they sound quite different so I won't get as confused as I could get.
  • I'm a B1 or B2 level in German and just started learning Spanish as well. This should be a good combination.
  • @milkrock.
People should consider learning asl or their country's sign language
  • @Valid_Points
learning 2 languages at the moment, Spanish and Turkish. I would like to meet someone who is learning these languages.
  • Good to know. I was rotating between Spanish and Russian - I will study both daily from now on. Thank you!

Yeah, I am learning Japanese and Portuguese right now. Thanks for you advice❤️

FYI if you're going to upload a video of a minute or less, make sure to put #shorts in the video, as the will provide a pretty substantial boost to the algorithm.

I am currently learning both French and German at the same time. What I do is I learn French during daytime and German during nighttime, EVERYDAY.
  • I prefer monthly rotations where I do 90% language 1 10% language 2 then flip it round. I don't forget the second language but I am able to concentrate and one and avoid confusing my brain.
  • Yes I just started trying to learn Japanese, french, and German. All three are different types so that I don't have any issue switching from one to the other in my head
  • I'm learning English and Italian and I've been doing a routine since approximately 4 months. Sometimes it takes me up 3-4 hours a Day. I don't know if I'm doing correctly right but I think I'm learning and I have more comprehension. I would like to share you how is my daily routine. You inspire me friend! Wonderful channel.

I'm Intermidiate in Spanish I would say, got interested in Polish a few years ago but dropped the habit. Brought it back i while ago, then started learning russian a month ago. They are pretty similar but it is fun!

Thanks!!! I'm learning English and French. I'm from Brazil and I love your Channel 😍

“Don’t learn two similar languages at the same time.” I broke that rule when I learned Spanish, French, and Italian at the same time. (My Spanish and French are pretty good; in fact, I took a course in French Translation at university and the professor was surprised to find out I never took a French course.)

Learning Spanish and mandarin right now! Then learning asl:)

I live in Iran and here native language is Persian. We have to study two languages at school, English and Arabic. and these are very different in letter and grammar. and it is not very difficult to study at the same time. But most people decide to continue learning on English

So I've been studying Spanish for a while now and just started learning Japanese, and both of the languages have been on my to do list for a really long time. But then Maneskin won the Eurovision and I'm like... That Italian though...😳🥺 Seriously, under all of the Italian teaching videos in my country (and I'm from Russia) there are all of these comments from people studying the language after hearing that amazing band.. It's like this wave now, and I thought, probably I should succumb to it too😅 I mean Italian is very beautiful, it's the language of art, indeed. What do you guys do when you're already learning a language or two and suddenly get interested in another? Do you stick to the original plan, or try learning that new language, while the interest is there? I have to say this is a first for me, as I'm usually not led astray as easily🤭 So I'm a bit at a loss✨

I am learning five new languages at the same time these days, honey; namely: Polish, Czech, Portuguese, Dutch and Modern Standard Arabic, plus five languages I learnt many years ago and am constantly keeping on brushing up, namely: English, French, Spanish, German and Russian.❤❤❤I love you, Luca!!!❤❤❤you're the best polyglot ever I am hoping to imitate. Your piece of advice is my source of inspiration.

I was just looking up videos on this very topic. It's like Luca read my mind or something. Exactly what I needed today. Wow!!
