Hello Luca before internet. I actually used translation to learn 4 foreign languages ( French, English, Spanish, German) and being native-bilingual speaker (Berber , Arabic ). I came up with almost the same method and used it to master those languages. In fact , i came to the conclusion that the reason why it worked for me was because it was a challenge to my brain and memory to find the equivalent word or sentence in the target language . So it was like training a muscle. Of course in addition i used complete immersion too. And I today I was asking myself if anyone else knows about this. And I was happy to find your channel.

Tenía un nivel de inglés medio avanzado (soy hablante de español nativo), ahora siguiendo muchos de tus consejos tengo un nivel de inglés muy avanzado, literalmente no tengo que pensar, es para mi como escuchar español. De la misma forma, comencé a aprender italiano y voy avanzando muy rápido (con escaso tiempo que poseo), pero aplicando muchos de los principios que he aprendido de ti. Espero alcanzar un nivel avanzado prontamente. Muchas gracias!!

I've been following you for a couple of years on the web before youtube and I have achieved great success with your method.... you demistify the secret of language learning very clear... I totally agree with you... rot memorization is totally useless... brain just doesn't work that way... we need meaningful and interesting context consisting of full sentences.... sentences have everything we need... grammar, tenses, collocations, phrases.... literally everything we need.... all we gotta do is to translate based on sentences... not single words.... Thank you so much Luka... for this amazing information....👍

Está es el vídeo que necesitaba para darle con todo (hit the ground running) mi tercer idioma, italiano, que anteriormente dejé de estudiar porque me sentía desmotivado al ver que no avanzaba. Lamentablemente, no tengo aún el dinero para pagar el "BDT course" aún pero este video me permite ahora me motiva a comenzar y no rendirme.
