Some causes of wifi connection issues is due to routers being 5ghz which the xbox 360 is not naturally compatible with. The slim and e model which have built in wifi can only do 2.4 ghz which standard for its time. Luckily to get around it you could just need a Ethernet cable

For those having same issue : Try clearing DDos Settings, factory reset additional settings, back out, then select network when it loads back in, test connection then when network goes through( connected) back all the way out to home ASAP(do not let 2nd connection process go through). Once you’re home, you should be signed out, so sign in to Xbox Live gametag, it’ll load, but assuming you put in correct WPA passcode, it will connect to your WIFI. This is all assuming you use wireless dongle. Worked for me.

If I remove my Elite External hard drive on the top of my 360 before factor reset. Will I save my avatar, profile and what not or will I loss it all?

Does deleting my profile also permanently delete saved games?

I believe there is a WiFi chip in every console, if that chip is broken it will never connect. That could be your problem

Can anyone solve this? I’ve just got my Xbox out for this year and it’s doing the same thing.

Maybe the cable is a bit loose try to plug it into the router more tightly, if that doesn't help try to reset the router
