I'll never understand the motivation to take a nice looking guitar with a good finish, and ruining it by "relicing". It seems to be a recent phenomenon, as I've recently come back to playing guitar after more than 20 years, and I never heard of this happening back in the day.

Funny.. all the sales on gutairs torn up I passed on.. always said.. knock off 50 bucks for that chip.. or scrape or any lil bit of damage... I like my shit new.. fucka busted up worn-out les paul or anything else.. if got free.. would restore to look NEW !

I never understood why anyone want to have a relict guitar...the only way I would want one is not to have being afraid scratching a 8k euro gibson.
