For me Thorfinn, Zuko, and Jamie Lannister will always be the holy trinity of redemption stories.

"I want that which surpasses the merciful release of death, i want to be able to give arnheid a satisfying answer, i want peace and salvation in the mortal realm, and if such a thing doesn't exist, then i'll create it." - Thorfinn

Thorfinn's arc in season 2 helped me better myself as a person. To put old grudges to rest and be more open / understanding of people around me; even those who may seem rude or uncaring, everyone has a story behind their actions. I have no enemies.

Thorfinn, Kratos, and Zuko have some of my favorite redemption arcs of all time. His story is genuinely an incredible experience.

"When I look at the work of other manga artists, sometimes the faces are well drawn, but the hands are not. To put it bluntly, if I were to choose among artists, I would choose them by how they draw their hands. Hands are the most expressive part of a character, after the face... You can fake a facial expression, but your hands will show how hard you work...If you show the character's life in their hands, you'll get a good result." - Makoto Yukimura

There's a moment in the manga that rly stands out to me. Two soldiers were captured by the jomsvikings to be executed. One of them starts questioning the point of life, wondering if there's anything more to it than war and battle(being a viking basically). Meanwhile, the other one cries and complains for not being able to die in battle, wishing to go to Valhalla to eat, drink and sleep with the valkyries until Ragnarok comes. Upon hearing all of this, the first guy responds,"But isn't that what we've always been doing?"

I don’t watch all your videos, only the ones about my interests, but I would consider you my favorite Youtuber. The way you make videos is so pleasant and thought-out, I appreciate the effort. Thorfinn has slowly become one of my favorite characters in fiction.

Honestly this is the redemption arc i wanted to see with Uchiha Sasuke's character. The depth in Thorfinn's character and the growth we see in him throughout the anime is astounding. This show is truly a masterpiece❤️

As a martial artist who trains with other martial artists, Vinland saga has changed my life for the better in so many ways. A true warrior must be capable of inflicting brutal acts of violence but only in defense of yourself and others. Never to satisfy one’s ego to prove superiority over others because you make enemies with people you do not know which leads to unnecessary conflict in life. The discipline to use kindness and understanding is real strength rather then trying to physically bend someone to your will because you do not learn anything from meaningless violence and only hurt yourself or die in the process. Thors and thorfinn are the ideal warriors people should aspire to be like and askeladd is a perfect example of a warrior helping the youth stay away from a path that will lead them no where in life and end up like him. Like Naruto and attack in titan, Vinland saga will change the world as well for the better.

“I have no enemies” I love how Thorfinn started as a child who was so hell bent on vengeance, and as the years went that hate never left his soul. I love that how Thorfinn craved the death of only one man but yet once Askeladd had died, he lost it all the way Thorfinn had hit the very VERY bottom…he only moved upward. Although his road was paved with broken glass and blood Thorfinn at least tried his best to atone for everything he did; moving forward and stumbling along the way.

Thorfinn's journey is the reason I am the person I am today. I read Vinland amd Vagabond at the best possible time in my life I think. I was 19 and the influence they have had on my can't be overstated. They helped me create myself, my identity as a guy. I love Thorfinn and Musashi so much, I legit couldn't be here without them. Oh and also Guts. And that's just when I am talking about anime, there's so many good male role models without whom my life would be so different. God I love stories and how big of an effect they can have on people.

Thorfinn is one of my favorite anime characters of ALL time and I'm so glad people are finally realizing how great he is with the release of the anime's second season gaining more attention.

Vinland saga truly made an impact on me. One of the greatest stories I have ever read. It is truly breathtaking at times
  • @ngchloe4877
In just one season, Thorfinn went from a character I kinda sorta liked to one of my all time faves
  • @feasibilyheretical
I see so many people calling vinland saga boring after season 1, but I feel like those people are just as immature as thorfinn was chasing revenge just as people want to watch action and violence instead of taking a deeper look into what the story is trying to tell you.
  • @AXIOSEDITZ
Honestly I've been wanting you to do a vinland saga video. The characters are well developed and intriguing. Can't wait!✌
