Nice to see this old classic get some views 4 years on with the Vermintide 2 free week :D I think it holds up pretty well but I definitely know more about the game now than I did then. If you find the video too long, don't forget you can watch at x2 speed and probably take it in. I'm supremely excited to do one of these for Darktide soon! For the Emprah!

Rule #1: they're always ALWAYS behind you.
-
Should have been "5 rules of Vermintide, or 4, doesn't matter"
-
I like the story of the greedy elf and the caring dwarf, will tell my children when they go to bed.
-
"Ammo is a finite resource and you will run out!" Wastalker: "No, no I won't."
-
Man, killing enemies in this game is way too satisfying.

Just pointing out, if you come across a healing/resupply spot and there is going to be extra health left over and no way to get back. The people with the least amount of health should heal, even if everyone is already healthy. Also, if you have white health, healing with a medkit turns that into green health along with the amount it always heals. So using a medkit right after going down is sometimes smarter then waiting for finding more health before healing. And a healing draught always heals the same amounts of health, regardless of your white health and resets your white health.

"resist the urge to go crazy" zelot: re-repent?

Regarding point 4: You are a foot knight with 150 base health and possibly more between items and build, and a medical kit would restore 80% of your health, thus giving you back 120 health minimum compared to 75 health with the potion. Thus, the elf's decision to use a medical kit on you was more efficient than letting you use a potion when it would restore less health, especially if the elf was planning to grab the tome a short distance ahead. (Tomes occupy the healing item slot).

Its always annoying when your constantly watching some dudes back then a horde comes and he abandons you to get surrounded and bummed by chaos warriors.
-
A score board? in vermintide? sounds like tzeench trickery
-
0:09 "In this verminguide..." I see what you did there.
-
if you plan to go for grimoires, make sure to have curse resist on your trinket, reduces the amount of hp you lose from the grimoire
-
Another useful thing about the explosive bomb is that it staggers monsters like the rat ogre, troll, etc. Helps when your teammate gets grabbed by a chaos spawn that's gonna eat him and regen lol

Nice Beginners guide, but I have to disagree with sparing health until you get downed. On Champion or Legend you can die quite quick once on the ground. More important even: Your teammates have to rush to your saving and interrupt what they are doing. A lot of times a downed player is the begin of the end because all the others rush to help and no one is controlling the horde anymore, looks out for specials etc.

10/10 Dawi storytime... Except for a grudge on that last one.
-
Wait... Hammers are BAD against Armor in this game?! But... Hammers were specifically used to deal with Armor in Warfare! Blades can't just cut through armor but Mallets and similar can dent them and kill the enemy easily with a blow into the helmet or the ribcage.
-
This game is far more complex than people give it credit for. Also... YOU HEAR THAT KERILLIANS? USE YOUR MELEE WEAPON. YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOOT EVERYTHING.

When Zerk talks about not using health potions unnecessarily the opposite of that is don't be afraid of using them too. In the clip he showed at 14 mins they were about to drop off a wall with no way back to the health items so you may as well use them as they will be lost anyway once you drop off the wall. In that case using a medkit isn't wasteful even if it is for half a life bar or less. That many be the difference between going down or staying alive later.

Finally, a guide that doesn't insist on putting your back in a corner and spamming guard bash while you wait for a gas rat to wipe the team.
