Remember that promo in 1999 that The Rock cut on Billy Gunn where he was talking to God? "Bob" "But my name's Billy" "It doesn't matter what your name is!"
Billy Gunn remembers it well and tells Chris Van Vliet what he really thought about it.

  • I love the smile on his face the whole time, seems like a dude who's genuinely happy now and loving life.

It rocks to see how Billy Gunn aged so graciously. Dude looks basically the same as 20 years ago, if not better.

I was a huge Billy Gunn fan and that’s one of the funniest promos ever!!

Glad Billy Gunn doing well and didn’t have his feeling hurt. This is what confidence and a healthy self esteem looks like
  • "Oh Dear God, My Name Is Billy, You See, I just won KOTR" 😂😂😂
  • Had no idea Billy was a heavy drug user. Glad he turned it around and had a good laugh like the rest of us with the promo. Golden stuff!

Billy Gunn seems like such a great guy to hang around with

The Rock didn't kill Billy's push. Billy killed his push by not being able to cut a promo. Asthma also killed his singles push.
  • I used to think that put a stop to his push, but I later heard the guy has major asthma issues, which is why he was better in a tag team than solo, just couldn't go for a long time. Poor billy, he was badass AF

There's something about the way he talks that just puts you in a good mood. I can't help but smile.
