What I learned from this video: If I'm in Prague, I need to have more than 18 people near me so my chances of getting hurt is lower.

Regarding the "fake terrorist attack" if you were wondering why there was no punishment, the whole thing was part of a protest/public gathering that was formally announced to the city and was approved, they stated that part of the protest would be a "theatrical performance" and informed the city that airsoft guns and sound effects would be used during it which was also approved and the police apparently inspected the airsoft guns prior to the actual protest. Even tho I doubt the city would approve this if they weren't so vague about the "theatrical performance" they were going to preform.

Honza’s been getting better with his cinematic shots
  • I have been told by a local that tourists should be extra careful with their belongings when watching the Astronomical Clock on the hour, as pickpockets like to place themselves among the crowds of people who are looking up at the clock. (There is a need to be alert for pickpockets wherever there are large numbers of tourists.)

I’ve been to Prague several times, and it is one of my favourite cities ever! Thank you for making these great videos!
  • I have visited the Czech Republic twice. I absolutely loved it. One of my favourite things I did was to visit the Kbely Aviation Museum. You should make a video there. It is never mentioned in any Prague tourism information. It is a little far from the usual tourist sites, but well worth a visit in my opinion. I enjoy your videos!

That's interesting. I actually wondered why you can't sit on the steps of the Jan Hus monument anymore. But... I have photos from 1994 where the steps weren't fenced off yet.
  • Olga Hepnarova, somehow you forgot about her. Which is strange especially after you mentioned trucks driving into people…

I'm here in Prague for this weekend, and I'm so glad to know this channel. From the very first moment here, I use these guides to make the best out of these days. Traditional pubs, the way from the airport, secret places(bric a brac, post office, etc.). The snow made it very special too. Thank you very much, I wish in every city would be a same honest guide.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the shutters in the metro stations, some of them can be hermetically sealed and support 200000 people for a number of days

He forgot to mention an attack in 1939 by a funny moustache painter
  • Looking forward to coming in May. Thanks for the info. 😊😊
  • Those are some really sweet trashcans! Great video as always. I used to live in Prague and remember sitting on the steps of the Jan Hus Memorial and talking with the locals - good times!
  • When a chemical detector procs, it is set to alarms (emergency services and army). Usually, army is ordered to supervise the decontamination in the metro. Firefighters do have the equipment, but they have limited resources for that (some IR or FTIR detectors, decontamination mixes, etc. but they lack equipment for specific gases).

I assume the road blocks are only on entry points where attackers can build up speed before entering the town square.
  • Thank you for the historical facts! We felt very safe when we visited Prague and can’t wait to return! ~Cara 😊
  • You could do movie/music locations shot in Prague like movie Amadeus from 1984 or Never Tear us apart music video from INXS.
