If you have a tub, block off the overflo hole and fill it all the way. Heat will transfer into the tub water and cool the room down about 5° . Stand in the water and use a saucepan to pour cold water over self, kids, pets, or anyone needing a cool down.

This reporter is amazingly compassionate and truthful. Clearly she relates to her community and fellow Texans. Doing a great job. Stay safe and well all Texans.
  • Notice @0:43 that the Live Oak Trees are all fine, it's other species of oaks and pine trees that split and fell over onto people and their homes in the winds! I highly recommend people to plant live oak trees in their yards and around their homes, they grow fast give great shade have extensive root systems and are very flexible (they bend in the wind, instead of breaking). In all my years of hurricanes I have experienced, I have never lost a single live oak tree! Just saying.
  • Waiting for the hands out for help from the government they hate, and for sure we will help because that’s who we are, but get real stop putting the knot heads in charge of your state government !!!!!

Its obvious the "hearts of many have grown cold." Instead of empathy there is a lot of hate in the comments. So sad seeing such rude and hateful thoughts when many are suffering.

Prayers continue for those suffering from the effects of this storm . Jesus I Trust in You 🙏😢🌹

Texas energy grid has been notoriously bad for years. Kids not safe in school. Immigrants getting shipped around the country. Ted cruze still has a job and gov addott reelected and where are they???Abbott is overseas and ted cruz is in California. Priorities texans.
  • @patrickm6012
They said it was a nothing storm. The challenge with Texas is their electric grid. Governor is under fire.

Janet has empathy and compassion. God bless you, your family and city expediently.

She HAD TO make sure to mention Lakewood is attempting to redeem themselves by opening their doors now instead of shutting them in people’s faces, like the last time. 😮

It is 6pm and we still do not have power! It is hot here and this is ridiculous! I’ve been in Walmart all day trying to stay cool. Completely failure on CenterPoint Energy part.

My heart breaks for these people. Those Angel Oaks are beautiful, but they still must be maintained & trimmed more often then they are. Stay safe everyone 💔
