My great grandfather died being hit by lightening. He’s was on the farm under a overhang. Left a wife and kids. Not a joke. Thank God this young man is ok.
  • Ultimately saved his life? The tree drew the lightning! Golfers get zapped all the time trying to take shelter under trees during storms.

Glad to see he is alive and recovering. Great neighbors he has. That is not something one survives easily. Best wishes to you young man.

The media quite literally says the dumbest stuff I've ever heard.

Teen with his own lawn company! That's awesome and a great story. Business is about to be lit!

The tree didn’t save him, it was what attracted the lighting.

He was still working when it was raining. Hard-working kid. Just be mindful of weather conditions. Glad he has recovered.

Thank God the young man survived. He is blessed to live to tell about it. God bless him! It is a miracle.
  • Florida is the lightning strike zone of America. But a friend of mine has been struck three separate times he has had open heart surgery because of it but he is still alive
  • Glad to see there was still community awareness there and people found him so quickly.
  • Very lucky kid! Prayers for the stout lad! I hope he makes a full recovery. A hard working kid like this has earned his way.

take your butt in the house when its lighting outside
  • I'm glad he's going to be okay. I have always had a healthy fear of lightning.
  • Fall 1994 my car was struck by lightning on a fairly clear day. In the spring of 1995 my house was struck by lightning setting the roof on fire. That gave me a bit of PTSD for some time after when storms approached. Thank goodness it wasn't my kids or me that got hit directly. Wishing this teen all the best in his recovery. Blessings be on the neighbors who came to his rescue.

I understand your drive for your work, but safety 1st young man

The tree attracted the lightening. If not that tree it would have been one of the other 2 trees near him.

They need to teach kids to smell the air for storms and stay away as trees attract lightnings.
  • Oh thank God that wonderful young man survived that frightening incident and is recovering fully. Lightning can strike over 100 miles away from a storm cell. Be careful out there. He was careful too, but a stray bolt came.
