    Always check flues/chimneys for leaks also, especially if passing through in roof space as you could leak CO into a void. Todays kitchen range hoods can be of very high airflow extraction performance, at times unnecessarily high thus can result in a negative pressure environment being created. I guess at times the trade off is more and more people are opting for refrigerated AC systems and not gas heating, but still older homes should consult with a professional if considering.
