the monty hall problem is based on a game show and goes like this: there are three doors. behind one is a car, and behind the other two are goats, which were placed randomly. your goal is to choose the door with the car. you first choose any door, and then one of the two other doors that contains a goat is opened. you have a choice whether or not you want to switch your selection to the other door that has not been opened, or if you want to keep the one you already picked. would it be to your advantage to switch, or to stay?
