watch fester blast out a giant compound leaf

QUICK, BEFORE THE YEAR ENDS AND ANOTHER GROWTH CYCLE BEGINS ! ! ! !

here's another one of these projects! this time it's a growth timelapse of A. konjac 'gordon's gold', aka the largest corpse flower species that i grow. "fester" is still a baby and doesn't have enough stored energy to bloom yet, so he's skipped ahead to the leaf creation process here. (still very cool!! i love the spotted petioles on these plants.) in 2-6 years he should be ready to send up a big gnarly rotting corpse scented inflorescence - a photo of which i've included in the backdrop. attempting to manage the stench should be an adventure!!

start to end: march 7th - july 4th
space between each photo while fester was actively emerging: one day. occasionally every other day if i forgot about the daily/nightly ritual of plopping him on my desk for a photo.

music: indicatif spatial (spatial jingle) by jean-jacques perrey. i've been trying to change it to plantasia music but my laptop refuses to comply
