Thanks for answering bro. I hope this question can create more discussion. I think a lot of people don't want to face the fact that even reformist movements and organizations have been targeted with police-state sabotage and violence, including MLK and his pacifistic allies during civil rights movement. They also had to deal with the question of self-defense from fascists, some of the civil rights workers owned guns for personal protection. U r right that gun control is liberal. Progressive militias for defense can be a training ground for a legitimate people's army in the future, if the working class decides to go in that direction. Of course we might be talking about a long period of time, but revolutionaries have to prepare for a protracted struggle.
