Let's be honest, phones nowadays reached thier peak and definitely it's not wroth upgrading not only every year but now every five years at least. The only thing that can be done is an under display front facing camera with actual good quality. Not the bad quality under display camera on other smartphones. And the second thing is a new battery technology that can last you a week or more. Other than that everything else reached its peak.

I’m currently using 15 pro max, I can still get all the AI features so the 16pro seems like not that attractive, but I’m really curious how apple will make use of the capture button software-wise

Yeah but aside cameras and charging, what is changing in the productivity department. Will it finally offer split screen ability? Transparent widgets? iPad style keyboard? I’ve been playing around with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and to be honest it’s been a bit underwhelming. I was really hoping to love it but it may end up being returned.
