The no air conditioning situation is a big hassle since it’s summer.

The absence of air conditioning has nothing to do with environmental concerns. Air conditioning in summer is a primary need for these busy athletes. It's a pathetic cost cutting measure

No AC, tiny rooms, polluted water. That's real paris!

No air conditioning, cardboard beds? Hell naw, I’d be booking into a hotel if i were an athlete.

What happens in the Olympic Village stays in the Olympic Village.

When I went to the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, the Olympic Village was converted into the Ray Brooks Regional Correctional Facility (Jail). We had stainless steel beds, a Stainless steal sink and a Stainless Steal toilet in each room. After the games they removed all the doors and replaced them with the Prison Bars. All the windows though had bars. It was how a tiny Village in New York could afford to host the games.

Lack of air conditioning is one thing, but I've heard that windows lack mosquito screens. Come on, really?

I would never go to Paris. And I live in France.
  • And what would be there after the Olympics? A place for those who needs a place? If so, how much the rent will cost??
  • Most dangerous Olympics in terms of security concerns. The news we are getting are really horrifying. Is Paris a safe place to host such a massive sports event ?
