Hello DDRs! (Dedicated Description Readers)
Wow… I gotta say, I had a lot more fun than I expected to have. I never really listened to Taylor Swift and I found her music to be a little… Simple? I don’t really know how to explain it. It’s nothing against her, either, I don’t really like modern pop at all. I think it’s because I write a lot of pop, and listening to it reminds me of work. I mostly listen to soundtracks and classics like Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Dan Fogelberg, Elton John, etc. I think the only modern musicians I listen to are Porter Robinson, owl City, Switchfoot, and Coldplay occasionally. I’m rambling…
What I’m trying to say is, after watching the concert and seeing how everyone reacted, I think I understand Taylor Swift a little better now… Her music isn’t really written for guys like me. Most of the people who love her are people who can relate to her. Her lyrics mean something to them, and they grew up with her, so each “era“ corresponds to a part of their life as well, so the concert is a nostalgia trip for a lot of people. I actually found myself wishing I knew her music better so I could enjoy it more.
As for the box seats, it was cool being so close to the stage, but I honestly kind of wished we were sitting up higher. Even though we would’ve been farther away, I feel like the concert was made to be viewed from far away as that’s where most of the audience is sitting. The DMX controlled wristbands, the LED floor, the moving set pieces… All of them were made to be viewed up high and we missed a lot of that on the ground. Totally worth it though for the food, drinks, and sofas! Haha!
Anyway, we got back to Tucson a few days ago and I’m about to head out again to raft down the Grand Canyon with my dad and brother. Should be a blast! Hopefully I don’t die!

This was an amazing vlog. We do not see these kinds of videos to often from you. Seeing you and Claire together in these kinds of videos are really awesome, and seeing you at a live concert in LA, that is some of the best kinds of vlogs you can give us. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

My God this looks like an epic concert! I can't believe she still has a voice and any energy. What a powerhouse! I would be exhausted just watching it. I definitely wouldn't be able to stand that long. I don't even want to know how much those tickets cost if you hadn't been given them! 😵💫

Definitely making me miss this! I went August 3rd, and every moment was enchanting! I'm glad you had fun, though I will say I was really sad we didn't win! Valerie was gonna fly in, and it would have been the first time we saw each other since 2020! I'm super happy the winners were fun people! I really wanted to introduce you to my husband. Our first dance song was lover and our last dance song was willow! I'm a huge fan of hers 😅 I'm super lucky she was performing in LA when we were on our honeymoon.
