  • People need to quit criticizing her food. She's helping people if you can do better then go ahead!! She's cooking on a budget for heavens sake. She can't always get all the food groups. So sick of people being rude or ignorant!!!

A la chingada con Los haters. You know what, I used to only have $15 a week to spend on groceries and I had to buy everything from the 99c store. I had to be very creative and buy a lot of pasta and things that are filling. I felt embarrassed about my financial situation but I was grateful to still eat. No one can judge. You are amazing
  • In the 80's my ex gave me $35 a week for groceries. This included diapers and formula. My grandma bought me a cookbook. I learned to cook from scratch. As long as i had all my stable ingredients, i was able to pull it off . I was proud of myself.
  • She's doing great. People who have money for fancy food will never understand. I live in a 1989 camper with a leak and the floor falling through. I work full-time and ramen noodles with chili is a fancy night for me and im grateful.
  • Came here for the cheap ideas, stayed here for her personality and optimism

When I saw tortillas for 5.00 today I knew I would be making my own this week!
  • This is the kind of person who the Food Network should let have a show, but NO they’ll have some ultra twig little entitled rich girl that uses $50 worth of groceries to make a meal that you would be hungry 30 minutes after eating it. Keep up the good work, we all LOVE you.

Her skills and advice are very helpful for those living on a tight budget. Some people did not learn how to cook from scratch at home, and homemade food is healthier than cheap, processed food bought at the grocery store - for example her bread and tortillas. Her recipes are cheaper and have no strange artificial ingredients or preservatives. It may not be the healthiest food in general, but healthy foods cost a lot of money these days. I appreciate her sharing her knowledge with many people who may really need to know how to eat on a small budget.

I am proud of all you people who have a limited budget. Many of us have had challenges throughout our lives. Everyone can save a penny here and there. You never know when your circumstances will change. Learn for tomorrow. Maybe you will not need this information but you may even have to relay it to someone else. Knowledge is never wasted.
  • If you don’t need to stick to this budget or don’t want to eat these meals, don’t! It’s that easy! She’s sharing what saves her money in case it helps even one person because that makes it worth it!
