Seems a lot easier when you already have a ton of stuff accomplished to talk about. When you're fresh out of school and trying to break in this so much harder to find captivating stuff to talk about
  • took me about a month to make these changes nonetheless I did it. Now I can see that my LinkedIn profile stands out even more. Thanks for the gems and please continue to make quality content. cheers!

I love the way he started "Forget about Facebook Twitter LinkedIn is where the money is" I love it when people go straight to the point
  • @JenniferBrick
Your points about demonstrating your likeability, influence and competence on LinkedIn are on the money (and I agree, LinkedIn is where the $$ is!)

Having a custom background image is definitely key for STANDING OUT on LinkedIn 😊 When designing this, just keep in mind that the placement of your profile photo changes on mobile & desktop, and you’ll want to make sure that none of the important information on your LinkedIn cover photo (such as call-to-actions, other text etc.) GETS HIDDEN by your profile picture 😉
  • In all my years I've never seen someone offer viewers personal feedback. Incredibly generous!

very straight to point, I like your intro it's just straight to business and the way you explain is very easy to understand even though it's almost the end of 2021. I still find it relevant

Amazing , makes so much sense and straight to the point. Thank you 👍
  • Really short and simple. Thanks for making it easy to understand.
  • The correct picture is very important as most use it to form an immediate opinion. As you said, many things e.g. sunglasses are are 'no' and should be left for other non-professional social media platforms... totally agree.

Great tips! Here's one tip I would add: In your headline, focus on WHAT you do, not WHO (position) you are- people also use LinkedIn to search and usually look for 'WHAT' or a capability (i.e Digital Marketer, Accountant, Business Coach, Software Developer) rather than positions (i.e CEO or MANAGER)

Hi Lieven, Great tips, brief and straight to the point, I’m using linkedIn since the beginning, but overlooked most of it what you’ve mentioned. After creating and editing profile from time to time i never used linkedIn as a tool to promote my business. I’m going to change that from now. Thanks Lieven once again
